BellPepper Raita

Bellpepper
After seeing so many blogs and food sites I am getting motivated towards food photography…as I don’t know much about it I am doing my own experiments with little bit knowledge getting from books and other bloggers….
Here is my first experiment towards photography and my original creation of the recipe…
My mom always suggests me to add red bell pepper or orange bell pepper in any kind of breakfasts or make any curry with it and I used to follow but I wanted to make it something different than others ….so I thought why not give a try bell pepper in yoghurt….it was a good combination…everyone in my family and neighbors loved the raita…….it was a huge success for me…..and got lot of compliments regarding my photography from my friends and family..

Bellpepper

Raita (a cold yogurt condiment) is often served with Indian food to cut the heat of the spicy dishes. Here is the recipe…

Ingredients:
2 large Red and Orange Bell Pepper, halved, seeded, Cut them into small chunks
2 cups plain whole-milk yogurt
1/4 cup (packed) chopped fresh mint
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon of chili powder
pinch of salt
Method:
Whisk yogurt, mint, cumin, and 1/4 teaspoon chili powder in medium bowl to blend. Add bell pepper and toss to coat. Season raita to taste with salt and pepper. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours. (Can be prepared 1 day ahead. Keep refrigerated.) Sprinkle raita with pinch of cayenne pepper and serve.
